Over the course of three days, the Tunisian capital's city of Sidi Bou Said witnessed a remarkable creative surge, hosted by the «Al Anber Al Zahra» Palace during the 10th edition of the Kairouan Festival for Arabic Poetry. The festival was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and organized by the Sharjah Department of Culture, with the participation of Tunisian and Arab poets, critics, and writers. Jamila Al-Majri, Director of the House of Poetry in Kairouan and a poet, stated: «The continuous support of Sharjah for Arab culture, and the celebration of 10 years since the establishment of Houses of Poetry, highlight the importance it places on supporting the cultural movement and enhancing the presence of poetry and literature in the Arab world». She added: «Over these years, the House of Poetry in Kairouan has remained open to Arab countries, hosting young poetic talents and providing opportunities to exchange literary and cultural experiences, which has contributed to strengthening ties between Arab poets and creating a fertile ground for creativity and artistic dialogue between different generations».
