The traditional industry of crafting fishing traps, known locally as 'Qarqour', showcases heritage linked to the sea. This age-old practice has evolved, integrating iron wires into its production.

It should be noted that the crafting of fish skin, known locally as "al-Kurkure", is one of the most prominent indigenous crafts related to the sea and fishing. Previously, before the use of industrial materials, the craftsman or artisan crafted the skin using palm leaves under sunlight, then shrank it by immersing it in seawater, and traditionally cut it into strips called "sharak". From these strips, parts of the "al-Kurkure" were then gathered. With the development of the industry, iron wires appeared.
